Hurrikan Ian ist oben auf einem atemberaubenden Foto abgebildet, das von einem Astronauten an Bord der Internationalen Raumstation (ISS) aufgenommen wurde. Als dieses Foto aufgenommen wurde, umkreiste die ISS 258 Meilen über dem Karibischen Meer östlich von Belize. Zu dieser Zeit gewann Ian südlich von Kuba und machte sich auf den Weg nach Florida. Im Vordergrund (von links) sind das Sojus MS-22-Besatzungsschiff, das am Rassvet-Modul angedockt ist, und das Sojus MS-21-Besatzungsschiff, das am Prichal-Modul angedockt ist.

Above is another photograph of Hurricane Ian captured by a crew member onboard the International Space Station. When the picture was taken, on September 26, the ISS was orbiting more than 400 kilometers (250 miles) above Earth’s surface. At the time, Hurricane Ian was just south of Cuba and the space station was located over the Caribbean Sea east of Belize. Over the course of that day, it grew from a tropical storm to a category-2 hurricane.
